Val is very collaborative and enjoys sharing her knowledge and expertise with her clients, answering their questions and really getting to know them on the way to creating their customized financial or retirement plans. She enjoys illuminating the shift from accumulation of assets to a tax-efficient draw-down strategy for both retirees and business owners.
Val lives in Calgary with her husband, children and beloved dog. She enjoys being close to extended family. As her kids get ready to leave the nest and explore post-secondary, she is appreciating the remaining time they are able to spend together under one roof.
When she and her husband were just starting out, she remembers the competing priorities of saving, travelling, purchasing a home and eventually welcoming kids. Throughout those years, they benefited from working with a trusted financial professional whose advice helped guide them towards financial success and security. Providing this kind of positive impact to her clients is what led Val to pursue her Certified Financial Planner designation. After working as an
insurance and investment advisor, she was delighted to join Money Coaches Canada and the advice-only financial planning community. Here she is able to provide unbiased advice, while helping her clients increase their financial confidence and ultimately live the life they want.
Val volunteers with Highbanks Society in Calgary by providing financial literacy and budgeting help to young families. She is thankful for the opportunity to contribute to the organization’s efforts to break the cycle of poverty.
